Experience our campus

Once we receive your enquiry, we’ll schedule a personal tour of our campus just for you. Explore our vibrant learning spaces, see what makes us unique and let us know your child’s interests so we can tailor your visit to their needs!

Join our learning family

If we’re the perfect fit for your child’s educational journey, we’ll invite you to submit the Application Form along with the RM1,600 Application Fee and supporting documents to our Admissions team. This is the first step in your child’s exciting journey with us!

Placement interview or trial class

Book a placement interview with our Head of Schools or a Trial Class. This step helps us understand your child's needs and place them in the right year group with the right learning pace. It’s a great chance to ask questions and get a feel for our approach before getting started.

Receive your results

You’ll receive your placement interview result by email within 3 working days. The next day, our admissions team will give you a call to talk through it. There are three possible outcomes: an offer for a year group, a placement with extra support or a recommendation to join a trial class.

Respond to your offer

Once you receive the offer letter, confirm your child’s place within seven days by completing the enrolment procedure. Let’s get started!

Confirm your child’s place

To secure your child’s place, pay the full school fees as per the Pro Forma Invoice received with the Acceptance Offer Letter. Please also return the Admissions Agreement and Insurance Form, along with necessary documents and photographs.

Prepare for school

After confirming, new students can buy uniforms, textbooks and exercise books at the bookstore. We’ll also take a photo of your child in their uniform for their Student ID Card.

Welcome to Straits International School Penang

The first day is here. The Admissions team will greet you and your child at the reception area on the ground floor and take you to your classroom to meet your buddy. Welcome aboard!

The school day typically runs from 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays finishing earlier at 2.30pm. Timings may vary slightly depending on the year group.
