At SIS International School in Penang, safeguarding is woven into everything we do. Students at Straits International School are kept safe by a clear and comprehensive child protection and safeguarding policy which outlines procedures for identifying, reporting and addressing any concerns.
An on-site school nurse is available to provide immediate medical assistance when needed.
All staff and parents must wear ID badges to ensure secure access to the school.
Every new staff member undergoes thorough police background checks before joining.
All teachers and staff are required to complete first aid training for student safety.
Trained security personnel are stationed at all entrance and exit points.
The entire campus is monitored by CCTV to maintain a safe environment.
